ISTOBAL sponsors COTIF Promesas, an international football tournament to be held from July 31 to August 11 in L’Alcúdia (Valencia). The sponsorship agreement was signed this morning at ISTOBAL in L’Alcúdia for a competition with child categories from 6 to 12 years.
Through the sponsorship, the Valencian company -which has just launched a new corporate image- shows its support to talent, self-improvement, commitment, and teamwork in children through sport from an early age. These values are present both in the championship’s sporting ideal and ISTOBAL’s corporate principles.
This year’s edition of COTIF Promesas ISTOBAL, as per the name of the tournament in the Agreement, will include clubs such as Atlético de Madrid, Sevilla, Valencia, and Levante. As was the case with the Under-20 Championship or the Women’s Championship, Promesasseeks to become a national and international reference, attracting talented young footballers who will be closely watched by professional scouts.
ISTOBAL will be present in the international championship, sponsored by the company right form the first edition, and will attend the trophy ceremony. During the days leading up to the championship, a guided tour to ISTOBAL’s facilities in L’Alcúdia will take place, to make the company known to all participants.
This is not ISTOBAL’s first initiative to support young people’s talent. The Valencian company has also created the ISTOBAL Professorship together with the Polytechnic University of València (UPV) to promote research, innovation and the training of future professionals in the field of engineering. The Spanish firm also sponsors the Hyperloop UPV team that entered the international competition organized by the company SpaceX to build the transport of the future.
COTIF 2017 takes shape
COTIF is starting to define the different championships that will take place this summer. For the U-20 tournament, COTIF 2017 has already been confirmed participation from clubs such as Atlético Madrid, Valencia CF, and Sevilla, three major teams in the main Spanish league. The committee has programmed a a mixed championship for next summer, combining national teams with other teams from both Spain and other powerful leagues such as Brazil or Argentina. A total of twelve teams will participate, with the format followed in 2015, which encouraged worldwide media coverage.
