ISTOBAL sponsors the Hyperloop UPV team, consisting of students of the Spontaneous Generation Programme of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). The team is developing a train prototype powered with 100% renewable energy and travelling at more than 1,100 km/h. Together with the University of Purdue (Indiana), the team has been selected from 300 universities worldwide to participate in the international competition promoted by Elon Musk, to develop Hyperloop, the so-called fifth means of transport.
