Our recently created subsidiary in Brazil, ISTOBAL do Brasil Ltda. participated in the 11th edition of the show Expopostos & Conveniência 2013 for the first time. The exhibition was held from 27 to 29 August at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo. This show usually presents, in just one hall, all the elements needed to fully equip Service Stations and their stores, with a dedicated area for Convenience products. With a 45m2 stand, the company was one of the very few representing the wash sector in Brazil. The M’START rollover was shown to the Brazilian audience for the first time. On this particular occasion, it was decorated with Hexa vynils and it featured the ISTOBAL-patented brush system link-it, this time with red and grey link-foam brushes. The new physical recycling equipment Zeolis was also presented in a Modulbox cabinet decorated with vinyls explaining how the equipment works. The remaining products in ISTOBAL’s wide wash range and the HEAVYWASH wash equipment for commercial vehicles specific to the Brazilian market were presented with pictures and videos showing their characteristics and different wash programs. The Managing Director of our Brazilian subsidiary, Enrico Provasi, said: “This is ISTOBAL’s first time in an exhibition in Brazil. We wanted to get the message through that ISTOBAL is in Brazil to stay and I think we managed to do so. Our policy is based on the quality of the product and our technical service, highly regarded beyond our borders for many years. I think this is what makes the difference in respect of the existing market in Brazil. We are very happy with the contacts made at the exhibition, both quantitatively and qualitatively, as well as with the interest in our products shown by the Brazilian audience.” According to official sources, ExpoPostos & Conveniência 2013 -now in its eleventh edition- is the only sector event in the country. It is an opportunity for the owners of petrol stations and convenience stores, for retailers, franchises and business executives from the industry to be up-to-date, to see the latest developments in their segments, and to increase their service portfolio. Based on forecasts, when the show finishes, more than 18 thousand people would have visited it, with a growth increase in the number of exhibitors of 10%. Over 12 thousand people and 170 brands from around the country visited the 2012 show, held in Rio de Janeiro. “The success of past editions shows that ExpoPostos & Conveniência is consolidating as the largest event for professionals and Service Stations, Equipment and Convenience in Brazil. It is a unique opportunity to generate business and exchange knowledge. Exhibitors meet those who make purchasing decisions for more than 36 thousand Service Stations and 6 thousand convenience stores throughout the country”, says Rubens Slaviski, business director of the trade fair.
