1950

Mr. Ismael Tomás Alacreu sets up a small repair shop in L’Alcúdia and invents a piece of equipment that supplies grease at low pressures which he personally sells to nearby workshops.

1963

ISTOBAL's first pressure-operated manual rollover is born. Different units are manufactured for garages and repair shops.

1969

ISTOBAL consolidates itself in the car-wash sector extending its manufacturing lines and successfully exporting its first products.

1973

The first automatic rollover and dryer with brushes and the first 2-post car lift are created.

1988

The first rollover and dryer with a programmable logic controller (PLC) are launched.

1997

The first modular rollover range, Series M, is created.

2001

Vehicle-wash specialisation: the whole vehicle-wash product range is covered and the manufacturing line for repair shop equipment is discontinued.

2004-2005

First ISTOBAL subsidiaries in Europe:
ISTOBAL Handelsges. m.b.H.
ISTOBAL UK LTD

2010

ISTOBAL develops M’NEX rollover range, Link-it brush system, and N'joywash jet washes.

2011

Creation of the subsidiary ISTOBAL USA Corporation with the first final assembly plant outside Spain.

2012

Launch of the M’START rollover range.

2012-2013

ISTOBAL develops an internationalisation strategy: acquisition of OLM/FDI+ in France, the second final assembly plant is opened in Brazil with ISTOBAL do Brasil Ltda., and creation of a subsidiary, ISTOBAL Ninki, to operate in Scandinavia from Denmark.

2014-2015

Creation of a subsidiary, Istobal Sverige and Istobal Italia

2016

Consolidation of the company's internationalisation strategy.
