FDI+ is one of the two subsidiaries. The company is the French sector leader in the development and manufacturing of wash systems for trains and trams, and it will help the Valencian company to be positioned in Europe as a reference for the railway industry, a highly specialised sector consisting of railway operators -usually state-owned organisations-, large building companies, and train manufacturers. FDI+ develops their own projects and designs in line with customer needs. This 24-employee company has a turnover of 3 million € and an R&D department with 6 specialists. The company is responsible for reference projects and installations in the world train/tram wash industry, such as the tram-wash facility in Alstom, Jerusalem (Israel), the Siemens train-wash facility of Uijeongbu (Republic of Korea) or the mixed wash installation (train and tram) of SNCF, located in their maintenance plant in L’Arbresle-Lyon (France). In their projects, FDI+ work together with large train manufacturers like Alstom or Siemens. The second company, OLM, is Lavance Group’s subsidiary specialised in automatic wash systems for trucks and buses. They bring in a remarkable sales network and a significant client base, which will allow ISTOBAL to give a boost to this business line with their brand new wash range for commercial vehicles, HEAVYWASH, both in France and in other countries. ISTOBAL’s acquisition policy is one more step in the way towards the internationalisation of all of its product ranges, particularly now that the domestic market has reduced its share in the company’s turnover, as 70% of business comes from foreign markets. ISTOBAL has 60,000m2 worth of facilities in L’ Alcúdia (Valencia), and currently employs more than 500 people. In 2010 the organisation celebrated their 60th anniversary. The company has exported its cleaning systems for the last 30 years to more than 62 countries. It has a vast distributor network all over the world, three subsidiaries in Europe and a recently created one in the US, ISTOBAL USA Corp.trenes fdi noticia
